Analog Film Photography

When we show up to your wedding, expect to see us with a slew of cameras and bag full of film. We’re here to document your story, in all its analog glory.
Elopements range from $4800-$6000

All day documentation, as many rolls of 35mm and 120mm film as it takes to capture it all, a fat stack of ‘roids (Polaroids), Alex and Alexa to personally stalk you with cameras, and an online gallery to view, print, and share your plethora of photos. Travel and taxes are included as always.

We love our gear and film like family, but unlike family, we have favorites. We’ll usually reach for our reliable Canon 1V, Fuji point-and-shoot, Polaroid SX-70, Hasselblad 500c, and Alex’s treasured Leica M3. Our go-to film stocks are anything that looks good in whatever light we’re shooting in. Lately, we’ve been in a love affair with Cinestill 400D and Ilford XP2, but our love knows no bounds. You can always count on us to have the good stuff: Kodak Portra, Ilford B&W, and an array of others.

Sorry, no kids. You won’t find digital coverage here. To compensate, we make extra extra sure that our gear is up to spec and ready for whatever adventure you through our way, so we can document your wedding like the pros did back in the day. We’re all-analog through and through (aside from this website and our digital backup cameras that we keep in the trunk).

All day documentation, vision call to ideate and brainstorm the vision of your video, as many rolls of super 8 film it takes to capture it all; film processing, development, and scanning; three (!!!) videos- preview reel, feature film, home movie; Alex and Alexa to personally stalk you with cameras, and an online gallery to view, download, and share your videos. Travel and taxes are also included. phew that’s a lot.

Preview reel. The first bit of super 8 footage you’ll see from your wedding day! It’s short, sweet, shareable, and under 1 minute.
Feature Film. You’re probably most excited to see this one. It’s the fully-edited, set to music, creative and unique, 3-5 minute video of your wedding day. We sink most of our time into storyboarding, creating, and editing this video, and we’re most excited about this one too.
Home Movie. This is every single shot we took on super 8, color-graded and organized in chronological order. Other videographers/photographers call this the raws- we call it the Home Movie.

We don’t personally offer audio recording because super 8 cameras don’t record audio and it’s not our jam. But if you record your own audio, send it our way and we’ll see what we can do to creatively weave it into your feature film (in the most non-cheesy way possible).

Obviously we want the music of your film to be something you love, but also available for commercial license so we don’t get sued. During our vision call, you’ll tell us your vision (get it?) and we’ll get to work on digging through the internet to find something that fits the vibe. You can either choose your song from a curated collection of options, or we can surprise you (we prefer surprises, but dealers choice).

Film Photo & Super 8

This is for the folks who are all-in and want an all-in kind of documentation. You’re speaking our love language.

Buckle up for the best of both worlds, buckaroos. You’ll be getting everything from the two packages above.

We both shoot a lil bit of both, but Alex leans more into the photography and Alexa into the Super 8 and Polaroids. We’re both well-versed in all of our gear and mediums, so sometimes we swap for funsies and sometimes out of necessity. We lean hard into our value of adaptability here.

We can’t speak for you, but documenting your wedding with both photography and video is the most comprehensive capturing of your wedding day possible. A photograph captures significant slivers in time, and a video documents the feeling of floating from one memory to the next. We’d love for you to watch your wedding day and print it out too. Not just because it’s a service we offer, but because we also loved it for our own wedding day.
Payment Plans Available
We know documentation is a large monetary decision, so all of our packages are set on a handy-dandy payment plan. You can pay in 2, 4, 6, 12, or however many payments you want - as long as you’re fully paid up before the wedding, you’re good to go.
Our process
Approach to Documentation
We do our best to merge creativity and journalism into a single craft, which is something that ebbs and flows depending on each couple and each event. Some couples love to get crazy and strange in the artistic approach, and others lean into the honest documentation of their event. We can lean into either, or both.
At any rate, it’s important to know that we aren’t necessarily a wedding factory. We get to know each and every person we work with, because knowing you better helps us do a bang-up job when it’s go-time.
Photography and videography help us savor our present moments; moments that shape us, and moments which we might have forgotten otherwise. We often romanticize our memories. Our craft is the time machine that brings us back to them.
Booking, planning, & beyond
First, stalk this website and find us on instagram (if you haven’t already). Feel free to get familiar with the work you see. It’s ok to linger.
Second, if you can see yourself in our work, then we’d be pleased as punch to hear from you. Send us a message here and let’s schedule a time to say hello and get to know each other. We’re eager to hear about your wild and wonderful plans, dirty deets and all.
Third, booking entails an online agreement signed with a deposit. Each package can be paid for in a variety of payment plans depending on the shape and size of your event.
Lastly, once your date is booked we will periodically touch base to stay aligned on your plans together. We’re happy to extend our planning skills if you need, but either way we’ll be prepared to show up and do a damn good job.
Super 8 Process ☞
Fear not, we’ve got a solid plan of attack for super 8 videos. When you book for super 8, we dedicate scheduled times to gather your story, understand your “vibe” for a final video, and create something truly unique to you.
Once you book, we’ll do a “vision” call to work through ideas together. We have questions we’ll ask about your style, preferences, and artistic leanings. Your answers help us develop a model for your video.
On the day-of, we use an army of vintage cameras that are film-tested and maintained to today’s standards. One thing we will mention is that the cameras can be noisier than a modern camera (think old silent movie film spool sounds).

Our books are open! Because we give our full attention (and sometimes muscle damage) to your lovely shenanigans, we only book 10 weddings per year.
If we offered any more, we wouldn’t be able to hold ourselves to the standard you expect. By keeping our number of bookings manageable throughout the year, we’re able to operate at our best, which is what you deserve.
